It was seven years ago when one little pill was the reason my daughter lived.

Previously, I had suffered several miscarriages. My doctor suspected a blood disorder and ran a million tests. One morning, his nurse called to inform me that I had a blood clotting disorder and wasn’t able to absorb any folic acid. And it was impossible to sustain a pregnancy without the help of a blood thinner.

I had just found out I was pregnant again for the third time in as many months so with tears flowing down my face I frantically begged the nurse to tell me what to do.

“Take a baby aspirin, immediately!”

Here was the Emerald City of libraries. Outside was a fountain that stretched the length of the building, water toppling down the marble steps like a Slinky. Inside were four stories of open, light-flooded space, a cheerful children’s section complete with squishy bean bags and reading nooks. This was not our 1970s suburban library with the shag carpet and crumbling paint. Spectacular Sunset

As much as I’m addicted to photographing the moon, the sun is demanding its share of my attention.  Our cabin in Bland, Virginia has spectacular long range views, making it prime for both sunrises and sunsets.
